Big Machine

Some of my favorite people in the world witnessed this last night.

I watched it here with a few of my other favorite people and about 100 study abroad kids.

Gotta do what you gotta do.

How 'bout them dawgs!

Embarassing

I didn't want to be left out of my new blogging world and not mention Joe Wilson after last nights events. (Plus it's important for me to be a well rounded blogger. Posts on Politics: 1, Post on Sports: 1, Posts on nothing relevant whatsoever: 7)

Here in Argentina when people want to tell you no, they do this awful finger wag- and it's just the pointer finger, no wrist or hand involved, and it's a serious side to side wag. For added emphasis, they put their finger really close to your face.

So. Joe Wilson. This is me wagging my finger VEHEMENTLY very close to your face all the way from BA. Don't pull a stunt like that again. (And I support your party.) Do not support that kind of behavior.

...

My european colleagues think my blog is boring. Guess I need to start writing SHITE about them. Or else publish something pro-America or controversial. Maybe both. --->

Thumbs up Hil.

Clarification

There seems to be some confusion over my blog name.
1) it really isn't "Linda," like my friend Ariail's Mom's name. It's long e "leen-da" (I'm disappointed in my co workers for not knowing this although they live in Argentina.)
2) I'm not a loca linda. Far from it. Penelope over there to the left is. The loca linda is supposed to be mythical- almost fictional if you will. Ok not fictional- I know a few. (Here's a hint though- localinda's don't have blogs. They're far too wild and free spirited and can't be bothered.)

Got it?

BLAHG

Someone very near and dear to me emailed me the following, in all seriousness:

"Enjoy blahging, I hope it's fun for you."

Hmm. Will do.

Guess I don't have to worry about him reading my blahg.

One more thing

After this I'll stop for the evening.

BUT.

I'd like to give a long and loud slow clap for the ex-rubia who has been my blogging (and really anything technical/mac/internet related) yoda. Check her out.

PS- She is also my bff and roomie.

Thanks for letting me be your grasshopper.

I love BOB"S

I love my pal's new bob- it's so cute/fun/work chic. She's always had long wavy hair (see left photo) and this look is a huge change and looks great on her. I hope when I finally tell her I have a blog she doesn't mind that she's on it. Or that her boyfriend whom I have yet to meet doesn't mind either.

Weak

My "new" blog that is. I started this blog over a month ago because I like to write (ok and because this girl who went to my high school has a blog and it's pretty funny and apparently she's going to be famous or something.)

But my entries (excuse me, entry) is pathetic. I'm kind of embarrassed and sad for myself when I read the first post and think how long I toiled over it. "Do I sound cliche?" "Is this lame? "Did I spell that right?" or "Did I copy this from someone else's blog?"

Henceforth I am going to be more free flowing with my blogging and not think about it so much. What I find most challenging, is not ripping off someone else's cyber vibe...I only follow about 5 blogs and of the blogs that I follow only 3 are actually good. So now that I'm blogging I find myself writing in a style that isn't so much mine as say, that of, "enter-blog-name-here," because I'm still too much of a blogosphere baby to link myself publicly to my blog crushes.

I'll try to keep this blog from becoming too much like a thank you note or my journal. (My only significant writing experience.)
